Should have an in-depth experience of tendering & contract management and scheduling of a major Hydro Power Project, preferably for more than 100MW.
Thorough understanding & execution of EPC contract following FIDIC rule book & world bank and other equivalent international standards.
Desirable experience of:
- Drafting of FIDIC & world bank tender documentation.
- Contract management of all types of major contracts of hydropower project such as Civil, HM, EM, TL, etc. right from floating of PQ/Tender, award of works, commissioning of the project till closure of contracts.
- Preparation of Work Breakdown Structure and construction program.
- Preparation and regular updating of the Project’s Master Schedule.
- Handling of the contract of Owners’ engineer and regulation of payment etc.
- Ensuring of strict adherence of the contract in letter & the spirit between the owner and the EPC contractor/s.
- Restriction and checking of variation & extra items etc. and claims management of the contract.
- Creation of complete data collection and compilation for claim avoidance and restricting variations.
- Supervision and Checking of the Contractor’s Payment Statements.
- Monitoring and exercising strict Control on progress of works and cost, regular updating of construction schedule using state of the art software with due attention to milestones & ultimate timely commissioning.
- Drafting of commissioning setup proposal and supervising commissioning activities with proper co-ordination amongst all contractors, government departments and all other stake holders.
- Preparation of an Integrated Project Commissioning Manual.
- Processing & defending the Employer against disputes and claims by the Contractors.
- Hands on experience on Primavera / MS Project.
